Lost and Found

Over the years I accumulated about 50 rolls of shot film that had lost their purpose—mostly shot between projects. There were rolls of black and white and color, 120, 35mm—some over thirty-years without refrigeration. During the COVID lockdowns the ArtCenter staff would throw a few into the processor now and then, to keep the chemistry alive. Looking through these images from my former self, I see what I responded to outside of a specific project. There’s a romance to the work looking back that is accentuated by tonal and color shifts that come with age.
