Proof of Life
Proof of Life is a series of works composed of 128 dental X-rays arranged in a grid. Without names, stripped of identity, but charged with presence, they are traces of the familiar sitting on the edge of recognition.
Tooth X-rays are often the last means of identifying a corpse—used in war zones, disaster sites, and cases of state violence or forced disappearance. Proof of Life is a reflection on evidence and visualization. In this context, the work can be seen as a meditation on loss.
